Creative Direction Board

Collect images that show the look and feeling you want. Every image has to earn its spot — if you can't say what it's doing for you, take it off.

Start here: New Google Slide, titled YourName - Creative Direction Board. Save it in your class folder. You'll use this board again for your logo and your poster.

Put these on your board

    3 to 5 words for the look or feeling

    2 or 3 fonts that fit the feeling

    6 to 10 images you picked on purpose
  4. 5
    A note on 3 images — what is each one doing for you?
  5. 3
    3 to 5 colors, not twenty
  6. 6
    One sentence: who is this for?

Look at how they group things and keep the colors limited. Don't copy one — yours is about your direction.

Before you leave: point at one image and tell your partner exactly what it's doing for your direction. If you can't, swap it out.
